Light Up Louisville: Come and see the Sister Cities Trees at Metro Hall!

“Holidays Around the World” is part of the community’s 2009 “Light Up Louisville” event, will take place on Friday, November 27.  The many Holiday Trees filling Metro Hall will remain on exhibit in the Rotunda from November 27 through December 31 and the exhibit is free and open to the public. As usual Sister Cities of Louisville decorated one of the 12 foot trees with international trimmings but new this year was the additional representation of all eight individual Sister Cities. Each city has either decorated their own tree or supplied a display depending on the traditions of that country. Many ornaments for the Sister Cities’ tree were donated or hand-made by individuals in the community. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped to decorate the tree. We hope you will have a chance to join Sister Cities in celebrating Louisville’s diversity over the holiday season!
