How Can You Get Involved with Sister Cities of Louisville?

Volunteer Opportunities

Sister Cities is looking for volunteers who can give 2 hours per week in the office to carry out mundane tasks such as filing, making phone calls and updating contact lists. If this thrills you please contact us! We would love your help!

Current Hosting Opportunities:

March 2013: Host a professional from Perm, Russia as part of the Open World Program. A group of female government professionals will be in Louisville to learn about transparity in government and empowering women professionals.

July 2013: The Montpellier Work Exchange program (the longest running Sister Cities exchange in the U.S at 58 years!) is currently looking for host families to accommodate young adults for the second 2 weeks of their 4 week stay (July 13-27 2013). Visiting French students will be in U of L dorms for the first 2 weeks (June 29 - July 12) during which time the host family simply acts as a support system. They will move to host family homes on July 13th. During the day they will be busy with work assignments, but dinner and evenings can be spent with their families. If you are someone or know of anyone who would enjoy sharing Louisville's warm hospitality in exchange for a bit of French language practice, please contact us. Both Male and Female students, ages range from 19 to 26, language level vary from good to excellent. If interested in any of the above please contact us by EMAIL or by Phone: (502) 574-3397
